If you're thinking of hiring a handyman, call now. According to a recent Angie's List member poll, 67% are hiring a handyman in August, making it the busiest month of the year.

Joe and I came to the realization years ago that we're not very handy.  About a year ago, we got smart and finally hired a handyman to come out to the house to tackle our to-do-list on a regular basis. He's the best...as with most great things, if only we had hired him sooner. One of my favorite projects was during his May visit when he worked wonders in our garage by hanging all of the garage organizing gadgets (bike holders to hold our tandem, yard tool organizers and shelves to keep those not kid friendly things like gas tanks out of reach) so we could actually get two cars in our three car garage. Maybe a better route would be for us to have a garage sale, but we like to keep stuff.

Guess what, Joe and I aren't alone in our need for a handyman. We ran some analysis the other day at Angie's List and found that there has been a 34% increase in the requests for handymen/women on Angie's List in the last 3 years. To top it off, we did an Angie's List poll and almost half of the poll respondents confessed to being less handy than their parents.

TiVo recently announced the first ever Top Commercial Ratings Report. I’m happy to report that our Angie’s List commercials ranked 5th among the least fast-forwarded brand campaigns in May. I’m ecstatic that viewers enjoy our commercials, which ad agency, Young & Laramore produced for us.

All Angie's List commercials are based on real Angie’s List member experiences – we couldn’t make this stuff up!
