As important as it is to clean your gutters before fall (and then again before winter), climbing atop a ladder if you're not 100% comfortable is a bad - and dangerous - idea.

Each year around this time I start to hear about catastrophic gutter-cleaning incidents. From nasty falls and broken bones to skinned knees to watching the gutter-cleaner catapult off the ladder (bringing the gutter with him, of course), Angie's List members have seen it all.

If you've got any ridiculous gutter-cleaning stories, drop me a comment.
