Welcome to my blog!

Hi, I’m Angie Hicks, founder of Angie’s List.  Here at Angie’s List, we’re always looking for more ways to reach out to our members because we rely on you to tell us what issues you most care about,  how you’re being treated, and how we can help you get the most for your hard-earned money.

Since we started Angie’s List, 12 year ago, we’ve tried a lot of different things.  In fact, when we started the company, we didn’t have a website at all.  The List was just that – a list that I updated as I collected reports from members. The website is a great help in keeping that flow of information going, and this blog is just another way for us to stay in touch.  I’ll be using it to share ideas and update you on what seems to be important from where I sit. But it won’t be successful unless you give me your thoughts on what’s important from where you sit.

We’ve been growing really quickly around here this past year.  We started 2006 with lists in 33 cities; now we serve consumers in more than 126 cities across the country. We’ve been careful as we expanded to stay true to our mission to remain your local company, and we’ll rely on you to keep us grounded in your area. Our goal is to eventually have every service company – large or small – in your city on your list.  Reaching that goal depends on you submitting reports about the companies that have provided you service.  We want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Through our Web site you can even post pictures of the work you had done and see with your own eyes what others are talking about in their reports.

Thanks for reading my first blog post! I’ll post weekly so be sure to check back and let us know what we can do to continually make your Angie’s List experience even better!
