Some like the idea of concierge medicine; some hate it, and some think we didn't give enough information. Check out more about concierge medicine and tell me what you think: Is concierge medicine a good idea, or does it allow doctors to discriminate against patients who can't or won't pay a retainer fee?

Genny
Just learned about concierge "doctoring" today. Does the doctor keep the money, or the corporation or whomever?

But biggest concern today: I applied for life ins. recently and later learned - just had not realized it - that the papers I signed giving permission to get my medical records overrides the HIPPA papers signed at doctor's office. And once that life ins. company got my info, it apparently went to the MIB, Multiple Insurance Bureau, which made my records available for other insurance companies and no telling who else can obtain them. I am going to try to see if my records can be taken out of MIB's hands. And not all my facts may be straight, of course. What do you know about this? Thank you.
