Just starting to feel the frenzy from my press trip to LA last week. It's funny, I can talk about finding great plumbers and painters in my sleep, and while the importance of our traditional home categories will never diminish, it's pretty exciting to add healthcare to my repertoire.

Who hasn't benefited from a friend or family member's medical referral? I know I have, especially since we had kids, and I'm excited for our members to have an even bigger network to get those important referrals. Check out the great piece KCBS aired on our new categories last night.

Phew - it's been a busy morning on campus! For 15 months, Angie's List has been working to expand its ratings to include health care, and I'm excited to announce that the first 50 categories are live! In fact, I just came from a press conference where we made the official announcement.Now I'm anxious to see our members response. When we polled them a few months back, 76 percent said they want this added service. Now they can share their real-life experiences with local doctors, detailing their bedside manner and the level of customer care they provide. In addition to doctors, Angie's List members can also rate hospitals, nursing home facilities, pharmacies and insurance companies.

Headed back to California this morning for stops in LA and San Francisco. I'm especially excited to get to LA and visit with a couple we've been working with on a complete remodel of their Northridge townhouse. In the last three weeks, contractors have completely gutted the house and we're debuting their brand new kitchen, powder room, living room, dining room and outdoor kitchen live on KTLA Thursday morning!
