Today was a very exciting day as I headed over to visit our neighbors at Arsenal Tech High School. I was greeted with hugs and smiles from the whole squad and was thrilled to be able to present them with a check for the remaining expenses they needed to compete in nationals.

Their excitement and enthusiasm is contagious and I have no doubt they will continue to surpass expectations. Angie’s List is so happy that we are able to help them on their journey and will be cheering them on all the way to Orlando!

Angie's List is proud to be part of the Holy Cross community on the eastside of Indianapolis and when the opportunity came up to help one of our neighbors we were so happy to be in a position to contribute.

The Arsenal Tech High School cheerleading squad had just two cheerleaders last year and the school wasn't even sure it could continue the program. What a difference a year makes! Enter a new coach and a full squad that earned a spot at this year's Nationals. Only problem was, they needed to raise the money to get there.

Check out the surprise announcment on the live broadcast from WTHR news last Friday:

Last year, Angie's List received more than 32,000 requests for plumbers over Thanksgiving weekend - are your pipes ready?

Might sound like an unusual stat, but holiday guests can wreak havoc on your plumbing. We've heard some pretty funny stories over the years of what people think they can put down their disposal (whole turkey carcasses aren't a good idea).

Here are some helpful holiday tips, but if an emergency does arise, be thankful that Angie's List is here to help over the holiday weekend!

Angie's List gift memberships are on sale for $15 and make a great gift, especially for the really hard-to-buy-for folks on your list. I've become a big fan of useful gifts over the last few years, instead of the flashy stuff that gets forgotten before I even put the tree away.

I admit, I'm biased, but Angie's List is something they'll use all year long, and what's better than knowing you've helped your friend or family member make a trusted hiring decision for repairs around their house or to find a doctor?
